Solar-Log GmbH, headquartered in Geislingen-Binsdorf, , is one of the leading companies in the fields of smart energy, power management and PV monitoring with worldwide service for operators and installers. Since August 2015, Solar-Log GmbH has been a subsidiary of BKW AG of Switzerland, an internationally active energy and infrastructure company headquartered in Bern. Among other things, Solar-Log GmbH has been developing and selling the Solar-Log™ product range since 2007. It is installed in 141 countries worldwide and monitors more than 350,000 installations with an installed capacity of 17.52 GWp. Solar Log™ is compatible with 130 different component manufacturers and over 2300 inverter models. Solar-Log GmbH's solutions make an important contribution to successfully integrating renewable energies into a smart electricity grid and to realizing the energy transition.
ABOUT SOLAR-LOG
In 2004, Jörg Karwath developed the first Solar-LogTM in his garage. It was a data logger, to be used as a monitoring device for photovoltaic systems. Three years later, in 2007, the start-up company Solar-Log GmbH was founded by Thomas Preuhs and Jörg Karwath. In just a few years, the company expanded worldwide, and by 2011 the Solar-LogTM hardware family was already being sold in 20 countries.
Since 2015, Solar-Log GmbH has been a subsidiary of BKW AG of Switzerland, an internationally active energy and infrastructure company based in Bern.
