Heat Pumps are a technological solution that allows the reduction of the electricity bill thanks to the high energy efficiency achieved. It appears as a recommendable alternative to gas or diesel boilers, since it reduces the direct and indirect emission of CO2. Its operation can be easily understood because the principle is simple: Heat pumps take the heat they need from the surrounding air to heat water - this is stored in a tank to be used when necessary. In this process the heat pump uses electricity, but as the electricity consumed to run the equipment is much less than the energy needed, for example, for the resistance of a water heater, the heat pump proves to be more economical and efficient.
